Both sides finished just out of the top five on the competition ladder.
In first grade the Blues finished with 29 competition points, five points adrift of the fifth placed Forster Hawks side.
In reserve grade, Wauchope also finished in sixth placing – and also five points behind the fifth placed outfit.
But the Blues fare much better in their lower grades with the u18s side finished a creditable fourth place with 40 competition points.
They will play in the minor preliminary semi final this Saturday against the Old Bar Beach Pirates. That clash will be played at the Jack Neal Oval and will commence at 12.05pm.
In the ladies league tag, Wauchope finished in a three way tie with Forster and Old Bar but their better differential placed them in third place on the ladder.
The league tag will take on Taree City Bulls this Sunday at the Wingham Showground. That game will kick off at 10.55am.
