Organisers are now calling for potential entrants to start dusting off the cobwebs – or searching for a new design – for the annual event.
Coupled with a family fun day, the event will feature the open class race over the five kilometre course along with kids billycart races for 15 years and under in box type billycarts.
To make the day a family event, organisers have included pony rides, kids events, market day stalls, mud crab races with live music feature Wauchope’s own Angus Gill and support acts from 1pm.
The day gets underway at 9am with Pappinbarra Road closed to traffic from 11am until 12.30pm.
To enter or to source more information go to www.billycartclassic.com.au or the contact the Beechwood Hotel. Or call James on 0428 851 334 or email james.wallis@tsn.cc
Entries will close at 4pm on October 14, no late entries for the event on Sunday October 23.
All monies raised from the event help fund the Beechwood Sporting Grounds.
