The Hastings Co-op was established 100 years ago, with eight people working at the butter factory. A century later they employ more than 280 people across 14 diverse businesses.
The Department Store: The two department stores, in Wauchope's CBD and Peachtree Arcade, Port Macquarie, offer a unique shopping experience and stock a vast array of products.
The store sells ladies, mens and children’s fashion and accessories. They have a toy section, stock homewares, furniture, and more.
The flagship store in Wauchope's High Street is iconic - an oasis for those who love to browse. The store offers high quality products, most of which cannot be found in large chain stores.
Supermarkets: There are 3 IGA stores, all fully owned and operated by Hastings Co-op. The Co-op has a committment to supporting local producers and suppliers whenever possible. The stores are located in Wauchope: The IGA at 42 Hastings Street, at Timbertown: IGA, on the Oxley Highway, and the Port Macquarie IGA, on Gordon Street, at the Growers Market complex.
Mitre 10 and CRT Store : In Wauchope, the Mitre 10 and CRT stores offer a large range of hardware. They are leading suppliers of a broad range of farm and garden requirements, including seeds, fertilisers, animal health products, animal stock-feed, crop protection, swimming pool tests and more. Delivery is available across the whole region.

3 Liquor stores: Two are part of the IGA Stores: at Wauchope Supa IGA Plus Liquor and Timbertown Supa IGA Plus Liquor and they have a convienient Bottle-O located at 4 High Street, Wauchope.
2 Caltex fuel service stations are located at either end of Wauchope, known as Lasiandra Service Station and Cedar Service Station, with 24 hour fuel being available at Cedar service station as a bonus to customers. Bulk fuel is also available.

Together these 14 businesses provide secure employment to many locals and show continuous support to their community. Celebrating 100 years as part of the community is a proud achievement.
