The association will be hoping to replicate last year’s effort when Taree sides won three of four divisions it entered.
Taree will field two open women’s sides along with an open men, mixed and 55 men.
Kylie Hilder and Ash Green will coach the women’s side with Scott Jacklin in charge of the men, Darren Rowsell the mixed and Mark Rutledge the 55s. The 55s return this year after not entering in 2015.
Grading matches will be played for the sides in open divisions on the Friday.
Meanwhile the association’s 10 junior representative sides are training for the State Junior Cup to be held at Port Macquarie in February. The annual gala day for junior representative teams will be held at Taree Recreation Centre on Sunday January 22. Associations from up and down the coast use this as preparation for the junior cup.
Taree will also contest the Hunter championships.
