A total of 184 records were smashed -102 able-bodied and 82 multi-class. Sam Harris of Port Macquarie broke a massive eight records.
14-year-old Jean Morgan from Wauchope came first in the 50m freestyle multi-class, the 100m freestyle multi-class and second in the 50m breaststroke and the 50m backstroke.
12 year-old Phoebe Bentley from Wauchope came first in the 200m multi-age, the 200m breastroke, second in the 100m breaststroke and third in the 50m backstroke and 200m backstroke.

There were some close finishes with one of the closest being the Mens Open 400 Medley with Samuel Harris of Port Macquarie victorious over Alexander McKenna, Trinity with only .45 separating them over this distance event .
Entries were up again on last year even though qualifying times were cut. 32 area clubs were competing from Forster in the south to Twin Towns in the north.
The Rex Clark Memorial trophy for the open mixed Medley Relay was won by Port Macquarie team and presented by some of Mr Clark’s descendants. Rex Clark was a founding member of Wauchope Amateur Swimming Club.
The overall club point score this year was close with Trinity Lismore victorious for the first time in the area’s history over Port Macquarie. The minor placings were Coffs Harbour, Sawtell and Forster.
