Grant categories include major events, Christmas and New Year’s Eve celebrations, general community, environment, non council-owned halls and place making.
It can be challenging for community groups and events organisers to raise funds and these grants assist to get projects and events off the ground.
The last round helped with the renovation of the Big Axe at the iKew centre; Port City Church’s Christmas on the Beach; the Beer and Cider Festival; and Beach to Brother Marathon.
Council will run a series of information sessions to help applicants with their submissions. You or someone from your organisation must attend if you haven’t been to one in the past two years.
These sessions will take place in Port Macquarie, Wauchope and Camden Haven. For more information visit pmhc.nsw.gov.au/grants or contact council on 6581 8111.
2017 arts program at Glasshouse
Each year the Glasshouse serves up a delightful menu of entertainment for our region, which often rivals the entertainment enjoyed in major cities.
On Thursday evening, the Glasshouse 2017 Season arts program was officially launched.
This program includes events that leverage the power of technology, and include live performances of drama, ballet, music and shows that can be enjoyed by children, their parents and grandparents.
Our community is the heart and soul of the Glasshouse, and we wouldn’t be able to provide this entertainment without the support from the Glasshouse members, the community, visitors, business partners and volunteers.
For more information on the Glasshouse 2017 Season shows visit glasshouse.org.au or contact the Glasshouse on 6581 8888.
