Firefighters battled fierce conditions to save people, animals and homes west of Wauchope.

Fire crews from across the Mid North Coast united to take on one of the most challenging weather events seen in the region’s history when record-breaking temperatures and gale force winds combined to create a fire storm west of Wauchope.
