Miriam Lieberman is known for her unmistakable voice and for playing the 21 string West African harp, known as the kora.
Miriam draws her influences from far and wide – most notably after studying traditional music in West Africa where musicians inspired her unique style.
Her songs seamlessly blend African influences with folk-infused melodies to create a collection of stories, beautifully told through strings, powerful lyrics and her emotive voice.
Miriam has toured extensively with her trio around the country and performed at festivals internationally including Japan, Mali and Guinea.
The line-up for Miriam’s trio this time includes Susie Bishop on violin and backing vocals, and Jessica Dunn on double bass and backing vocals.
