Here it stands approximately eight weeks after the contractors have finished on site and it has not been commissioned.
This project was fast tracked and presented to the councillors as the best option of three at the lowest cost of $2.4 million, fast tracked as the licence at Dunbogan had 18 months before it expired, that is now coming up to three years.
As previously stated this project was estimated at $2.4 million it has blown out to $4.6 million which was the successful tenders price, the cost are still coming in;
1. 350K for Investigation, DA and Design.
2. Remediation of the Dunbogan tip
3. Remediation of the old Herons creek tip
4. Power to site
5. Guard rail upgrade to the rail bridge on Herons Creek Rd
6. Contractors Variations
Maybe the newly elected councillors representing the Camden Haven area could look into this project and publicly give some feedback as to why there is such a large blow out in cost and why the WTS has not been commissioned to date.
If my figures are incorrect please don’t hold back in producing the actual figures.
