Changed traffic conditions on highway at Cooperabung

Motorists are advised controlled rock blasting is nearing completion in the Cooperabung Range next to the Pacific Highway, as part of work on the Oxley Highway to Kempsey Pacific Highway upgrade.

The final controlled blast will be carried out tomorrow, Wednesday April 19 at 1.30pm, with traffic on the Pacific Highway stopped for safety.

Motorists can expect delays of up to 10 minutes for this controlled blast and are advised to plan their journeys.

Electronic message signs on the side of the highway will advise motorists of any changes to dates and times of the controlled blast.

All dates and times are also available on the project website: http://www.rms.nsw.gov.au/projects/northern-nsw/oxley-highway-to-kempsey/index.html

A controlled blasting fact sheet is available on the project website and at community display centres.

For more information on controlled blasting, contact the project information line on 1800 154 724.

Roads and Maritime Services thanks motorists for their patience while work is carried out.
