The Port Macquarie-Hastings Council draft operational plan, which lists actions to be undertaken during 2017-18, is among the documents.
The suite of documents guides the council, providing the vision, actions, budgets and performance measures over the short, medium and longer term.
They include the 2017-18 operational plan, 2017-2021 delivery program, 2017-2021 resourcing strategy and towards 2030 community strategic plan.
Big ticket items in the draft operational plan in Port Macquarie include the airport terminal upgrade, Lake Road upgrade between Toorak Court and the Oxley Highway, and Hastings River Drive/Newport Island Road roundabout intersection upgrades.
Dunbogan Bridge repairs, Laurieton southern arm trunk main and Camden Haven River recreational boating improvements are among the projects planned in the Camden Haven.
Projects proposed in Wauchope and the rural areas feature the design of the Hastings regional sporting facility and delivery of sewerage schemes at Comboyne, Long Flat and Telegraph Point.
Road resealing and rehabilitation, playground upgrades and footpath construction are also proposed in the area.
Lake Cathie Progress Association committee member David Tooby encouraged the council to consider an operational plan inclusion of funding to prepare a Lake Cathie foreshore masterplan.
Mr Tooby said the foreshore had come under a lot of pressure, particularly over the past two or three summer seasons.
The draft plans are on exhibition until May 18.
Cr Justin Levido said the draft suite of documents detailed a very important part of the council’s consultation with its constituents.
He strongly recommended everyone look at the documents and give frank and fearless feedback to the council.
Cr Lisa Intemann said they were very important documents for people to comment on because it was the beginning of the four-year delivery program.
Mayor Peter Besseling said the community’s comments were taken seriously and considered.
The draft suite of documents can be viewed at www.haveyoursay.pmhc.nsw.gov.au and at council offices and libraries.
