A total of 24 representative teams from across the state will compete for honours in the colts, senior’s and women’s competitions at the Regional Stadium on Saturday and Sunday.
It’s a great honour for our region to host such a significant fixture on the NSW Country Rugby Union calendar. Council is proud to support this showcase for regional NSW’s best rugby players, which takes up residence this year at our biggest sporting arena.
As well as providing a stage for 31 matches of great action, the event gives hundreds of players and support staff, their families, friends and fans plenty of opportunity to discover what makes this area such a great place to work, live and play.
The spirit of community will be on display yet again, thanks to the many volunteers that will help the competition to run smoothly.
The Mid North Coast Axemen and Tomahawks will carry local hopes on their shoulders, with home soil advantage likely to lift our region’s players.
Good luck to all teams.
Have your say
Council’s proposed plans and budget for the 2017/18 financial year are currently on public exhibition, and our community are invited to ‘have your say’ on these plans for the coming year.
It’s always a difficult task in managing various competing priorities whilst trying to deliver services to the community efficiently and effectively.
The draft budget has had a great deal of work put in by councillors and council staff, and community input into the process is both welcome and extremely important.
Please take the opportunity to let us know what you think at haveyoursay.pmhc.nsw.gov.au or drop in to any council office or library.
