The year 8 student entered the Youth Showmanship competition for poultry and walked away with a third place, a very impressive result considering the professionalism of the seasoned competitors coming from all over Australia.
Ely also showed his birds, receiving a first and third place with his Sicilian Buttercups.
His birds were also awarded Champion and Best Female.
Ely has followed up his Sydney Royal Easter Show success with more ribbons at the Wauchope Show last month.

All his birds placed first and he took out Champion Soft Feathered Bird and Champion Junior Bird of the Show.
