The 10-day road closure will allow for the safe demolition of the existing timber bridge, installation of new concrete beams, bridge road approaches, guard rails and asphalt works to take place.
During the closure detours will be in place for all vehicles. Light vehicles under 8m in length are encouraged to take the alternative route via Bagnoo Road, while heavy articulated vehicles should travel to Comboyne via Lorne Road.
Road side signage will be installed on the Oxley Highway, Comboyne Road and Bagnoo Road advising of the road closure and will provide directional guidance to the detour routes.
The Hyndman Creek Bridge replacement works form part of the significant Bridge Replacement Program to be rolled out across the Port Macquarie-Hastings over the next three financial years
