Topshot is an annual event held by the Federation of Camera Clubs NSW (FCC). It attracts very high quality entries from very talented photographers throughout NSW.
In previous years, the presentation of awards and display of photos was only held in the Sydney/Central Coast Region.
This year. the decision was made to also take the photo display and workshop out of the Sydney Metropolitan region to a selected number of Camera Clubs.
The Wauchope Photography Group (WPG) was asked if it would like host this prestigious event.
As this was an opportunity not to be missed the WPG graciously accepted the honour of hosting the presentation and workshop which will be coming to the Wauchope RSL Club on August 12 and 13.
Viewing of prints and digital images will be 10am to 4pm Saturday August 12 and the workshop will be on Sunday August 13. There is a fee of $10 to attend the workshop.
Guest speakers for the workshop will be David Miller, John Alessi and Leanne Alessi. They will be covering the following topics:
- Image Capture – In Camera Creativity
- Judging – What are the judges looking for.
- Processing – The Work Flow
- Output – Print and Digital Projection.
- Aim for the Stars – a selection of award winning images.
- Open Forum – Questions and answers.
The workshop on Sunday is open not only to members of Camera clubs but to all of the public.
Registration and the attendance fee of $10 is required prior to the start of all workshops.

Wauchope Photography Group came to being two years ago.
It was formed to encourage photographers of all abilities
- to get together and share information and knowledge
- to have those more experienced to help those who are just beginning
- for every member to improve their knowledge and capabilities.
The group meets at 7pm, every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at Wauchope RSL, corner of Young and Cameron St Wauchope.
Anyone interested in joining or just having a look at what happens in the group are more than welcome to come along to a meeting.
