Launching the back to back games was Wauchope’s B Grade team against the second-placed Tacking Point Thunder Cougars.
Unfortunately the Cougars were able to sneak two goals through, leaving Wauchope on the end of a 2-0 scoreline.
Coach Kyle Tipping was thrilled with the way the team are playing.
“They are really working well together, it’s just unfortunate the scoreline (2-0) didn’t show what really happened out there on the field,” he said.
Backing up after the action-packed game from B grade saw the C grade Wolf Hounds take to the field against Port City.
The last five minutes saw Wauchope down one player and battling strong in defence try to deny Port City.
Port City was denied with the last-minute short corner; the final buzzer reflecting a 1-0 win for Wauchope, proving again why they are on top of the ladder.
