Fire and Rescue NSW were alerted to the incident at 3.30am on August 13. The station received numerous triple zero calls from concerned residents.
Crew from Port Macquarie and Wauchope attended the incident. There were three Fire and Rescue trucks and a HAZMAT (hazardous materials) van.
The property is the premises of Stephen Wright Solicitor.
Fire and Rescue NSW Port Macquarie station commander Gaven Muller said no one was injured in the incident. The property was unoccupied at the time of the incident.
He said it is not yet known what caused the fire and it is currently being investigated by police forensics and fire investigation teams. It is being treated as suspicious.
Mr Muller said crews did an outstanding job in preventing the fire from spreading to adjoining residential properties.
“It was already well ablaze when our firefighters got on the scene,” he said.
Police also attended the incident.
