A meeting of all local Justices of the Peace will be held on August 29 at Panthers in Port Macquarie following concerns that many JPs do not hold public liability insurance.

The meeting will start at 10am with an address by the vice president of the NSW Justices Association Bruce Gibbs JP.
Mr Gibbs will answer questions about the responsibilities associated with the duties of Justice of the Peace.
The NSW Justices Association was established in 1911 and has been service the community for over 100 years. It is the peak body for the Justices in NSW and an advocate to the Attorney General.
Membership to the association offers a number of benefits to JPs, including free access to on-line learning management system, free issues of the Justices of the Peace Journal three times a year, a 24/7 phone line to answer questions relating to JP duties and public liability insurance.
