Headpace Port Macquarie is hosting the Mind Your Art art competition and exhibition where all entrants will have their artwork displayed at the Glasshouse from October 5-31.

The theme for 2017’s Mental Health month is ‘Share the Journey’. It focuses on the importance of social connections, the journey to better mental health and an ability to cope with life’s challenges.

Positive social connections not only improve mental health and well-being but they and also build resilience.

Mind Your Art judges are the very talented Simon Luxton, Adam Murray and Mel Casey who will favour works exploring this year’s theme. a

To enter the competition, artists need to come into headspace at 10-12 Short Street, Port Macquarie to pick up their free entry package, including their canvas panel.

Entries close Friday, September 29 and can be either 2 or 3 dimensional pieces, including but not limited to drawing, painting, photography, mosaic and digital design.

Categories are for 12-17 years and 18-25 years. Enter before September 15 to go into the draw to win a double pass to the Wildwood Festival.
