Omnicare Alliance celebrated its official launch, with local Port Macquarie MP Leslie Williams leading the proceedings on September 6.
Over 50 Omnicare Alliance staff, volunteers and board members were in attendance at The Westport Club’s Riverview room to be a part of the celebration.
Omnica Alliance CEO John Carroll said the organisation is all about people; from staff, volunteers, clients, carers and partners.
“It was wonderful to see so many of our staff from across all our areas attending and celebrating the start of an exciting journey ahead,” he said.
“Our thanks to Leslie Williams for joining us in launching the organisation; Leslie’s commitment to the local community is unwavering and we thank her for her support throughout the merger process.”
In February of this year, it was announced that four major care providers on the Mid-North Coast had merged to form the largest community aged and disability care support provider - Omnicare Alliance.
Merged organisations include Hastings District Respite Care (HDRC Services), Meals on Wheels MNC, Hastings Home Modifications and Parklands Cottage. Omnicare Alliance provides services to the communities in Port Macquarie, Sawtell, Kempsey, Wauchope, Camden Haven, Taree and the Greater Lakes.
Omnicare Alliance is holding their inaugural regional dementia conference, The RED Conference, on Wednesday, October 11 at Port Macquarie’s the Glasshouse.
