Eligible businesses will receive grants of at least $50,000 to help build local infrastructure; innovate to remain competitive in new and growing markets; and offer training and upskilling of the regional workforce to take advantage of emerging opportunities and withstand changes in the job market.

Communities across the region will also receive additional investment through the latest round of the Coalition’s Stronger Communities Program.

With grants of up to $20,000 for small capital projects, we’re hoping to provide that fresh lick of paint for the local sports clubhouse; an upgraded play area at a childcare facility; or fund the urgent purchase of equipment for the local surf lifesaving club ahead of the upcoming summer.

Our ongoing commitment to delivering important infrastructure for the region is also continuing with the rollout of the $60 million Mobile Black Spot Program.

Currently the projects are subject to a tender process which will be finalised by the end of the year. Mobile network operators have the chance to access the funding to build new towers. 

These towers are one of my priorities for funding and will bring a much-needed boost to mobile coverage, providing benefits to emergency service operators, businesses, residents and motorists using the Oxley Highway and the route through Paterson and Gresford on the way to Barrington Tops.
