Award-winning Wauchope photographer Ronnie Grammatica was inspired by a group of elderly gentlemen with Italian heritage who meet regularly for coffee.
He took beautiful portrait shots of them, which are now on display at Port Macquarie library until September 30 in the exhibition ‘I Vecchietti Italiani’.
You can meet the artist and find out more about what inspires Italian-born Ronnie. He’s a trained photographer who relocated to the Mid North Coast a few years ago.
He’s an active member of the growing Italian community in the Hastings, and has a passion for telling stories through photographs.
“I really enjoy spending time with the old gentlemen. I find it really interesting to hear stories about their lives here in Australia,” said Ronnie.
You can meet Ronnie and the stars of the exhibition “I Vecchietti Italiani” and enjoy a special morning tea at 10am on Friday September 15 at Port Macquarie Library in Grant Street. Please RSVP 6581 8755.
