The Rural Fire Service has issued a total fire ban for the Hastings due to forecast hot and windy conditions.
Sunday temperatures soared across the region with some parts of inland Hastings topping 40 degrees.
A fire has erupted west of Comboyne in the Innes View area.
People in Comboyne and Innes View can expect to see smoke and possibly embers.
Firefighters are responding to the area. Aircraft are also being sent.
Residents should monitor the situation closely, warned the RFS.
“Check and follow your bush fire survival plan. The safest option is to leave early,” the RFS said.
“If you do not have a bush fire survival plan, decide now what you will do if the fire threatens your property.”
