The Rural Fire Service is treating the fire which broke out at Innes View near Comboyne on Sunday as out of control.
It has spread over 1,123 hectares and remains at advice level.
Fire danger across the Mid North Coast is high.
Stuart Robb from the Rural Fire Service said weather conditions today – Tuesday – are more favourable than at the weekend.
“No properties are under threat. Conditions remain the same. Crews will work to strengthen their positions, along with helicopter support,” he said.
The forecast for the rest of Tuesday is sunny, with light winds becoming south to southeasterly 15 to 20 km/h in the middle of the day then becoming light in the evening. Daytime maximum temperatures 23 to 28.
Wednesday will be partly cloudy. Light winds becoming north to northeasterly 15 to 25 km/h in the morning then increasing to 25 to 35 km/h in the middle of the day. Overnight temperatures falling to between 7 and 12 with daytime temperatures reaching 25 to 30.
Thursday will be hotter, winds north to northwesterly 15 to 25 km/h tending northwest to southwesterly 20 to 30 km/h during the morning. Overnight temperatures falling to between 13 and 18 with daytime temperatures reaching 26 to 33.
