The bush fire which broke out near Innes View Road about 8 km west of Comboyne on Sunday is still burning.
The fire has burnt over 1500 ha over the past 6 days, and continues to burn in an easterly direction.
A number of isolated rural properties were affected by the fire on late Sunday afternoon. One couple lost their home.
Firefighters supported by aircraft are working to bring the fire under control.
People in the area should monitor the situation and follow the directions of firefighters.
Residents in Comboyne may experience increased smoke.
The advice from the NSW Rural Fire Service is:
- If you see any fires which are not being attended by firefighters, call Triple Zero (000) immediately
- Be ready to implement your Bush Fire Survival Plan.
- If you don’t have a plan, know what you will do if a fire threatens.
- Particularly going into a long weekend, residents and travellers on the Mid Coast should monitor the situation closely.
- Keep key information available including the Fires Near Me app available for Android and IOS from the App Store and via the NSW RFS Website www.rfs.nsw.gov.au
