It will be his side’s first road trip in the Mid North Coast Premier Cricket League, but he remains wary of the opposition.
“It’s a bit hard to know what to expect early in the season,” he said.
“You don’t know what you’re coming up against, but it’s the same for everyone.”
Day expected Wingham top-order batsman Ben Scowan to play a key role in the outcome of the match.
“He’s a Macquarie Stingers player and probably their best bat so we have to get him out cheaply or we could be chasing a lot of leather,” he said.
Day said there will only be one change to the side that fell short to Macquarie in the season opener.
Lindsay Hopper will be replaced by Corey Holt who gets a chance in the Premier League.
“He’s played some lower grade cricket for us so it’s a bit of a reward for him,” Day said.
“He’ll get a couple of overs to see how he goes.”
First ball is scheduled for 1pm at Cedar Party Oval.
