Senior Constable Mick Dietrich said the police were calling for witnesses and or video footage of the incident.
“There was a brawl involving spectators and competitors during the demolition derby at the Kendall Showground at about 5.45pm on Sunday evening,” Snr Cst Dietrich said.
“Police are seeking any person that may have witnessed the incident or may have video footage that would assist in identifying those responsible.
“If you can assist us call Laurieton Police 6559 9044.”
The brawl has left members of the Camden Haven Show Society devastated.
President Sean Gleeson said he was extremely disappointed with the events that unfolded at the derby.
“Everyone puts a lot of hard work into that event (the show and the demolition derby) and it was a really good event up to that point,” Mr Gleeson said.
“Unfortunately, not everyone is going to remember the show for being such a good, family event.
“They will only remember what happened at the end of the night.
“It is absolutely shattering, just shattering,” the show boss said.
Mr Gleeson said he did not want to comment directly on the brawl but reiterated that the show society was working with the police in any way possible.
“That, to me, is totally unacceptable at any event, let only a very family oriented event like our show,” he added.
Mr Gleeson said he would let the police investigation takes its course and would discuss the future of the demolition derby with the show society executive.
