Then look in at the Rotary youth hall in Wauchope this Saturday, October 21, from 9am to 2pm where the Wauchope Patchwork Quilters will be holding a gifts and garage sale, or as some of us might know it – a good, old-fashioned jumble sale.
There will be stitched and knitted items, and not surprisingly even some quilts for sale, quilting fabrics, books, magazines.
There will also be items quilters seem to turn their hand to when not stitching – baked goods, plants and bric a brac.
General profits will go towards community work carried out by the quilters such as quilts for the Wauchope hospital palliative care unit, Bundaleer nursing home, Hastings Court, and the Rural Fire Service.
