The book, titled My Name is Jennifer and this is my story, covers the chihuahua’s lifespan and also takes into account other dogs.
Almost an Ordinary Life chronicles Mr Pearson’s life up to his 21st year.
He served in the Royal Air Force in Egypt, Palestine and Cyprus.
He had an “absolute fascination” in Egyptology and spent time exploring the pyramids, which date back to a time when Egypt was among the richest and most powerful civilizations in the world.

“I don’t like writing fiction but I like writing the truth about things,” Mr Pearson said.
