His style and sounds straddle everything from the Delta Blues and Appalachian Bluegrass, to English Folk and all stops in between.
Bernasconi is heading up the highway from Melbourne, and will stop in at Wauchope to deliver a relaxed Saturday evening show of eclectic folk music, slide guitar, finger-picking, vocal harmonies and anecdotes.
Special guest Cat Canteri will open the show and accompany Bernasconi later as well.
Bernasconi moved to Australia from the UK in 2004, and soon after formed The Stillsons, a band that released three critically acclaimed albums over the next few years.
In 2014 he released his solo debut album Winter Pick, produced by ARIA-award-winning musician and Wauchope Arts Hall regular, Jeff Lang.
His new album, Barefoot Wonderland, has embraced by fans and critics and has received glowing reviews across the globe. Acoustic (UK) called it a dazzling gumbo of songs, and Rolling Stone magazine says Bernasconi is so laid back here you can see the soles on those bare feet.
Justin Bernasconi, with guest Cat Canteri is on at 8pm Saturday August 26 in Wauchope Community Arts Hall, Oxley Lane (opposite Bain Park).
Tickets available online at www.trybooking.com/288797 or at the door from 7.30pm $25; $20 for members
