The Bureau of Meteorology forecast the snowfall earlier this week. While it was only a light dusting, the promise of snow was enough for James Fleming to make the trip from Taree to Polblue campground. He captured pictures of the snowfall about 7am Thursday.
The strange weather coincides with a dramatic drop in temperatures. Barrington Tops was expected to hit a top of 7 degrees today, afte many parts of the Mid North Coast sweltered under 30 degree-plus conditions just 24 hours earlier.
