Endeavour Mental Health Recovery Clubhouse Wellness Walk is about bridging the gap by moving from stigma to understanding.
Walkers will meet at 10am on October 11 at Breakwall HQ near the skate park for the Wellness Walk to the Town Green and return.
Endeavour Mental Health Recovery Clubhouse director Rob Moorehead said gathering together shows community support, union and care to anyone living with mental illness.
“The act of walking reflects that living with mental illness is a step by step, one step at a time process,” he said.
The family-friendly walk will follow an easy route suitable for all ages and abilities.
The walk raises awareness for mental illness and encourages walking as a way to improve mental wellness and increase physical activity while showing your support for people living with mental illness, their families and carers.
“This wonderful event brings together people from all walks of life in a positive, active and fun environment because together we make a difference,” Mr Moorehead said.
