The club’s bowlers have hosted the friendly fundraiser, a fine system for members who inadvertently send the bowl away from the jack instead of towards it, for four years.
The ‘gold coin’ fines accumulate throughout the year resulting in a donation to the hospital.
This year’s donation was $700, bringing the total over the past four years to more than $2300.
It’s all a bit of fun for a great cause.

Club treasurer Peter McLeod said members had a lot of fun while knowing they were contributing to the wellbeing of patients.
“Our members enjoy their bowls, they enjoy the social aspect of the game and they get a lot of satisfaction knowing they can do both while helping our local hospital,” he said.
"There are members of the Wauchope Country Club, who are non-bowlers, who make contributions. One regular is Lloyd Potts and we thank him sincerely for his support."
Palliative Care Nursing Unit manager Mary Trotter said her staff and patients were grateful for the support of the men’s bowling club.
“We live in a wonderfully generous community,” Ms Trotter said.
“Our Palliative Care team provides exceptional care to patients and excellent support to patients’ loved ones and friends.
“It is pleasing to know the community recognises our staff members’ dedication and commitment to exceptional care and wants to be part of the team by supporting those efforts through public donations to buy equipment or to improve patient amenity.
“Once again, it is a delight to be able to thank the Wauchope Men’s Bowling Club for its support,” Ms Trotter said.
