The free, family-friendly event will be held at Westport Park on Friday, November 17 and will feature the blockbuster movie, Sing.
Entertainment will get underway from 5.30pm with great live music, kids activities including a circus workshop and small sided football, and once the sun goes down the screen will light up for the feature movie.
Entry is free for everyone and people are encouraged to bring along their blankets and picnics, or purchase food and non-alcoholic drinks at the event as they soak up the magical atmosphere of watching a popular family film in the great outdoors.
“We understand how much regional communities across NSW look forward to our Cinema Under the Stars events, and as a customer-owned organisation it is just one of the many ways we’re giving back to communities that support us,” Port Macquarie Branch Manager, Adam Power said.
“Since 2008, Newcastle Permanent’s Cinema Under the Stars has brought families and communities together by providing free outdoor cinema events across regional NSW, and our seventh event in Port Macquarie is expected to attract 3,500 people this November.”
This season’s Newcastle Permanent Cinema Under the Stars program is set to be the biggest yet, travelling to 17 locations throughout regional NSW, providing an evening of free, family-friendly entertainment.
Feature musical acts at the Port Macquarie screening include Joe Mungovan and Blake O’Connor.
