Optus mobile customers in Wauchope may be experiencing disruptions to call, text and data services as a result of damage to hardware after a recent power issue in the area.

The company says replacement equipment has been located and is being sent as a priority with technicians to undertake repair work to restore services as quickly as possible.
“We apologise to all customers in the area affected by this and thank them for their patience while services are being restored,” said an Optus spokesperson.
In the instance of an emergency, customers should still dial 000 from your fixed number or 112 from your mobile phone.
Some Wauchope people have taken to social media to complain about network issues since yesterday, Sunday December 3.
Customers in our area say the service has been on and off. Some were able to text but not make calls. Others couldn’t make calls but could go online and use Facebook.
