The youngsters were offering up their musical skills at Hamilton Green markets on Sunday. It’s part of their learning curve to musical stardom, they said.
Eleven-year-old Sam has even taken to giving guitar lessons to his fellow students at Beechwood Public School with the view to forming a band sometime in the near future.
That band will also include his seven year old younger sibling Nick.
“We both just love performing,” Sam said. “We’ve both been playing for just over a year.
“I got into The Beatles, because of mum, while dad got Nick into Kiss as well. We both gig with dad every now and then and he has taught us a few things.
“We want to keep performing, stay together as a group and enjoy playing.”

Sam and Nick have played at Loggers Cafe and Restaurant, Christmas Carols in Wauchope and Johns River and Laurieton markets. They also played at the Beechwood Billycart Classic.
With a repertoire of some 20 songs, the band – they are called Seven Eleven – are keen to expand their song list.
The Beatles, INXS, Kiss, Crowded House, Powder Finger, Thirsty Merc and The Easybeats are among the music they enjoy the most.
“We will look to forming a band soon and start writing our own songs, with dad’s help,” Sam said.
“We’d also like to perform on a national television show. We want to make music our careers.”
The band has pooled their busking proceeds to purchase amps and other equipment.
Sam is also looking forward to attending Wauchope High School in 2019 to take up music.
