Last week I worked with our state and federal colleagues to announce the upcoming installation of wayfinding signage along our coastal walk and our region’s town centres. Council and the Commonwealth government will each contribute $125,000 to produce and install the new signage which will pop up in the coming months.
Our friendly and walkable destinations will be enhanced for our visitors with the signs helping them to discover our hidden gems and much loved attractions. Having high quality signage along our coastal walk’s 9 kilometres will be an excellent feature and will complement the many upgrades set to take place in the coming years. The major focus will be to lead visitors to our much loved attractions, but I encourage all locals to use the signs – you just never know what you might discover.
NSW most progressive council
This week was privileged to be a part of the official presentation of the 2017 A.R. Bluett Memorial Award, in recognition that council is achieving excellent results in delivering progress and value to the community, and to receive credit for the great work so far is added motivation to strive to do even better moving forward.
As mayor, I will ensure our community continues to be heard, and will continue to work hard with the many dedicated council staff to continuously improve and deliver results for our growing community. Thank you to all council staff and the many community members and community groups that work with council each day to create a vibrant future for our region. This achievement would not have been possible without you.
