The Oxley Highway will be closed roughly 15 kilometres east of Gingers Creek while a large tree is removed.
The work will be carried out from 10am and the highway is expected to be closed for up to one hour.
Once the road is reopened, traffic will be reduced to one lane, with alternate flow while the work is completed.
Electronic messaging signs will advise motorists of the changed traffic conditions.
Traffic control and a reduced speed limit will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
Roads and Maritime Services thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
