In honour of Grahame, Denise is participating in the 2018 City2Surf to help raise money for The Heart Foundation.
Denise is a club member of Wauchope Bonny Hills Surf Life Saving Club and Graeme was a life member.
The club has donated $200 to help the fundraising cause, in the hope that in the future no other family will experience the pain and grief that Denise and her family have gone through.
“The sudden loss of Grahame has impacted heavily on her family and the wider community,” a spokesperson from the club said.
“Denise has been inspired by the work of The Heart Foundation and is doing her bit to find a cure for heart disease.”

The Wauchope Bonny Hills Surf Life Saving Club will also host a Roll out the Red Carpet charity ball to help raise money for the Heart Foundation on Saturday, June 2.
The ball has been organised by staff at Port Macquarie Orthodontics.
The staff members will also be competing in the City2Surf as part of the fundraising effort.
