Kundabung’s Levi Ward was recently crowned the U18s All-Round Junior Cowboy at the rodeo in Mullewa, Western Australia.

The young aspiring professional bull rider is set to travel to America in a couple of weeks for the biggest competition of his life, but he hasn’t stopped making waves in Australia.

Levi won his steer ride and barrel race before he finished fourth in the U18 roping.

A week earlier Levi won the North West Mini Bull Series, as he finished first in all three of his rides.

The 10-year-old will take another step towards achieving his dream when he travels to America to compete in the Youth Bull Riding World Finals in August.

The boy from a small country town will take on the best riders from across the globe and he’s up for the challenge.

Levi will compete in four other rodeos during his three weeks in America.

In preparation for his trip to Texas, Levi will practice in the arena set up on his farm.

Levi attends Wauchope Primary School.
