Upgraded works on the Oxley Highway including work on the notorious Rosewood Road and Spencers Cutting realignments feature in this year's State Budget.

The budget was handed down on Tuesday.
Member for Oxley and minister for roads Melinda Pavey said money for pedestrian amenities on High Street were also in the budget.
"$25 million has been allocated for Oxley Highway works and measures, including the notorious Rosewood Road and Spencers Cutting re-alignments," Mrs Pavey said.
"There is $1.5 million for pedestrian amenities at Hastings Street, Wauchope and $5 million to shire councils for local road maintenance and infrastructure works."
The budget also includes pre-budget announcements of $3.5m for the redevelopment of the Wauchope Ambulance Station.
Elswhere in Oxley, five new projects were announced: a police station for South West Rocks, a wastewater plant at Bowraville, PCYC at Kempsey, upgrades at Arakoon and Trial Bay, and funding for a study of a second Kempsey Bridge crossing.
$73 million for the new Macksville Hospital was also part of the budget announcement.
Meanwhile Member for Port Macquarie Leslie Williams announced a $5 million commitment toward an $11.5 million expansion of the Port Macquarie Base Hospital car park.
“Today’s funding announcement which will see land purchased and the existing car park reconfigured will ensure staff and visitors can easily find a parking spot at the hospital,” Mrs Williams said.
"Port Macquarie Base Hospital car park is often packed to capacity.
“Although an additional 200 spaces were created in 2012, our hospital has grown substantially in recent years and as anyone visiting the hospital will tell you trying to find a car park can be difficult at times.
“Action on the Port Macquarie Base Hospital car park will mean life is easier for everyone in Port Macquarie when accessing the healthcare they need,” Mrs Williams said.
There is also additional funding of $2.6 million for the ongoing construction of the new mental health unit at Port Macquarie Base Hospital.
“The new mental health unit will double the number of mental health beds and enhance the care provided to all patients including improving the capacity to provide care to older and younger persons," she said.
- $1.47 million for social housing upgrades
- $3.2 million for Hastings-Macleay and Nambucca-Bellinger block grants for repair and maintenance of local roads
- $6.6 million for the Stuarts Point Sewerage program and $1.7m for the Stuarts Point foreshore revitalization program
- $900,000 for the construction of the New South West Rocks Fire Station
- $485,000 for the Bowraville Wastewater Treatment Plant
- $535,000 for the Urunga Tidal Poll upgrade works
- $3.5m for the redevelopment of the Wauchope Ambulance Station
- $2.6 million for a range of projects under the Regional Cultural and Stronger Country Community Funds
- The expansion of the Mid North Coast Correctional Centre and the upgrade of the Nambucca Heads zone electrical substation
- The projected surplus for 2017-18 is $3.9 billion, with average surpluses of $1.6 billion over the four years to 2021-22.
