All pony clubs from around the region including Taree, Wingham, Kempsey, Port Macquarie, Camden Haven and Telegraph Point will all vie for bragging rights.
Saturday is the showriding championships for the zone nine region that covers Coffs Harbour to Forster.
Sunday is the annual Camden Haven pony trophy day and which attracts riders from the same area but mainly from Kempsey to Forster.
Most riders are aged between five and 15 years old with the oldest at 21.
The last event was held at Port Macquarie two months ago where all clubs who attended had varying levels of success.
Camden Haven Pony Club committee member Katrina Hayes said it was a good opportunity for all the clubs to compete against each other.
“We usually have four or five of these zone events each year and now each different club can nominate to host it,” she said.
“This year we’ve made a big effort to get lots of prizes in there so there is an attraction for the kids to participate.
“With so many horse sports happening, pony club events have started to dwindle across the state in the last little while.”
Saturday will be a qualifying event with Sunday more focused towards the local riders.
The action gets underway just after 8am on both days.
