The Russian virtuoso will perform solo works by Scarlatti, Ginastera, Llobet, Aguado and Schubert’s Sonata in A major, with violinist Goetz Richter.
Mr Gorbach is an internationally acclaimed recitalist and recording artist who has widely performed in Europe, Asia and America.
He is a lecturer at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
Mr Gorbach’s first appearance for the Kendall PhiloMusica series in 2016 was received with enthusiastic acclaim.
The Kendall PhiloMusica series explores the relationship between philosophy and music.
The performance on July 22 will be introduced with a talk by founder and director of the PhiloMusica series, musician and philosopher Goetz Richter. He will discuss the philosophical reflections on listening and the role of the audience.
The talk starts at 1pm and the concert begins at 2pm.
Tickets are $30, which includes admission to the talk at 1pm and afternoon tea. Catering contributions are appreciated.
