Letter: Centrelink fails to acknowledge neuromuscular pain as a disability

With one in five Australians living with chronic pain, why is it not acknowledged as a disability by Centrelink and society?

Fibromyalgia is a real medical condition. Complex Regional Pain Syndrome is a real medical condition. Nerve pain is a debilitating condition.

The pain is real but people with these conditions are forced over and over to prove it’s not in their head.

It’s time to take a stand.
