The club won due to its significant contribution to the local community, including its dedication to providing wonderful football experiences for all members. This includes its annual gala day and continued support of its junior players.
“Wauchope Soccer Club has made a significant and valuable contribution to the local community through its successful implementation of its annual gala day as well as its ever-increasing efforts in attracting female players at all age levels, expanding its senior male player numbers, driving junior participation in competitive and non-competitive age levels and continuing to engage young referees.” NNSWF Community Football Manager Peter Haynes said.
“We applaud the efforts of Wauchope Soccer Club Committee, coaches and players which demonstrate that community is integral to the club’s ethos,” Haynes concluded.
Newcastle Permanent Port Macquarie Branch Manager, Adam Power, echoed Haynes’ sentiments and is pleased a local Mid North Coast Football club has been rewarded for its efforts.
“Newcastle Permanent is committed to supporting great community initiatives and the Club of the Month Award provides us with the opportunity to recognise and reward clubs for the valuable contributions they make to their local area, both on and off the field,” Mr Power said.
Wauchope Soccer Club will receive a $250 First Touch Football Supplies gift voucher thanks to Newcastle Permanent that will allow the club to purchase new equipment to continue its efforts in growing the game in the Region.
The Newcastle Permanent Club of the Month Award recognises clubs for contribution to football on and off the playing field across areas including football experience, club activities, coach, volunteer management and special projects.
