The U16’s finished third in the State losing to Westfields Sports High School and Hills Sports High School but defeating Wagga Wagga High School and Ballina High School.
“It was a terrific effort for the girls as they only had one reserve,” said coach, Matthew Taylor.
Best for Wauchope were Monique Durbridge, Holly Auld and Stella Tijou.
Coach Taylor said the trip would not have been possible without the incredibly generous support of the Wauchope Lions Club Sports Foundation, and local long-term sponsors such as Griffiths Traders, Backhoe and Tractor parts, Bago Road Wauchope .
“The Lions Club support the girls each year with a generous donation towards the cost of their trip. Thank you Wauchope Lions Club,” said Mr Taylor.
