Tylee Donovan has been selected to compete in the NSW Under 16/17’s Indigenous Rugby League Youth team that will tour Tonga from October 3 to 9.
Lions Sports Foundation Chairman Stephen Perkins said Tylee has been selected on his previous outstanding efforts.
“We wish him and the team all the best on the tour, and we would not be able to lend a hand if it was not for the financial assistance provided from local long-term sponsors, such as Griffiths Traders, Bachoe and Tractor parts, Bago Road Wauchope,” said Mr Perkins.
Tylee said he was thrilled with the help from the Lions Sports foundation. His mother, Paige Chatfield, said it was excellent.
“It gives Tylee the opportunity to try and make it to the next level, and be able to represent his indigenous culture,” she said.
Tylee is really looking forward to going to Tonga in October, and then he will be travelling to New Zealand in the under-18s Indigenous Basketball Academy.
