The great news for residents is the new playground at Sancrox Reserve is complete – another place the kids can play outside in a safe environment. There’s a 6 metre high ‘birds nest’, perfect for kids who love to climb, balancing beams, grasshopper shapes to ride on, swings and much more.
I love, and I’m sure the kids do too, the variety of equipment installed at our playgrounds across the region. So pack a picnic, head out to Sancrox and let the kids have fun on the new playground and let us know what you think.

New experiences for international visitors
If you’ve been out and about recently, you may have noticed an increasing number of international tourists visiting our towns and villages.
They’re travelling from all over the world, particularly Europe and the United Kingdom, North America and Asia, to experience our beautiful beaches and stunning hinterland.
Recently Destination NSW, supported by council, delivered a range of workshops to local tourism operators on ways they can capitalise on the international visitor market.
The workshops focused on where our current international visitors come from, and provided tips and tools to unlock tourism potential by targeting overseas visitors with new activities and tours using a variety of promotional opportunities.
A big thanks to all the local businesses who got involved in the workshops. While our region is definitely a natural attraction, the work of our local tourism operators to create a great place for people to visit is definitely shining through.
