It’s his rookie season in the off-road discipline, he is the youngest of his class (12-15 years) and he’s in the lead, after six rounds in the J2 category on his TC85.
Billy has travelled all over Australia to compete in this event, under the guidance of his father, Daniel and coach Jesse Jenkins.
The final five rounds are to held in Broken Hill, then South Australia and finally in Victoria.
Billy was also recently selected in the NSW Motocross team for the Junior Australian Motocross in Tasmania, but unfortunately due to date clashes with the AORC final round, he will be unable to attend this event.
Billy is a supported rider of Rock Motorcycles, Husqvarna Australia, Promoto Suspension, PGA Rendering, Pirelli and Incite Graphics and has been a member of the Hastings Valley Motorcycle Club since the age of four.
His family are very proud of him and he is delighted with his success.
“Billy is pretty chuffed,” said his father, Daniel.
“He has got a fair job to do to win the Australian title. He is obviously pumped, and as a father, I am proud of him and his efforts.”
His next round is on Saturday September 1 in Broken Hill.
Daniel says a big thank you is due to Billy’s coach, Jesse Jenkins, as well as his sponsors.
