These valuable volunteers don’t rest.
While they technically are not patrolling Rainbow Beach until Saturday September 29, they are updating their skills, undergoing their proficiency tests and educating others about being safe in the surf.
President Peter Smith, along with Greg Mitchell, Grace Kuhnell and Jasper Shultz helped the newly arrived Rotary Youth exchange students to understand what a rip is, where to swim while in Australia and why it’s so important to swim between the red and yellow flags on a beach that’s patrolled by lifesavers/lifeguards.
These young students will be in Australia for 12 months, staying in these areas.
